Shopfloor PROS
Why this exists

My father could fix almost anything.

What he didn’t have was a way to keep a record of everything he built.

My dad was a body man.

He had the kind of talent you can’t teach. He could look at a damaged car and know what it needed. He knew how to make things right, and people trusted him enough to bring their cars from towns away.

He worked with his hands. He worked hard. And he was good at what he did.

The shop was his world. The paperwork wasn’t.

Estimates might be written on whatever was nearby. Invoices could wait until there was time. Receipts and records accumulated faster than anyone could keep up with them. Not because the work wasn’t important, but because when you’re spending your days fixing cars, the last thing you want to do at the end of the day is sit down and do paperwork.

And eventually, the paperwork becomes overwhelming.

Years of work can disappear surprisingly easily when nobody is keeping the record.

When my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, he applied for Social Security disability. He was denied.

So much of his lifetime of work wasn’t reflected in the records.

He had spent decades working, building a reputation, helping people and creating something that was real.

But on paper, much of it was invisible.

That stayed with me.

Not because of the money.

Because I realized how unfair it was that a lifetime of work could leave behind so little evidence of the work itself.

What I built instead

Shopfloor Pros is the software I wish my dad had.

Not accounting software. Not another complicated system that asks a shop owner to become an office manager.

Something built around the way shop owners actually work.

The record should happen as a natural part of doing the job.

At the end of the year, you shouldn’t have to reconstruct twelve months of your life from a shoebox, a stack of receipts and a memory of what happened.

The system should have been keeping the record all along.

Because the work matters.

Every repair.
Every customer.
Every hour.
Every dollar.
Every vehicle that came through your doors.

It should be documented.

Not because paperwork is the point.

Because your work is the point.

Your business deserves a history.

Your employees deserve a record of the work they’ve done.

Your customers deserve to know what was done to their vehicle.

And someday, if you hand the shop to your children — or sell it to someone else — you should be able to hand them more than a building and a name.

You should be able to hand them the story of everything you built.

That’s what Shopfloor Pros is for.

For my dad, that record came too late.
For the next shop owner, it doesn’t have to.

He built a legacy with his hands. Shopfloor Pros makes sure the next one has the record to prove it.
